Back in 1996, three guys sat around a kitchen table in Fryeburg, Maine and hatched up the idea for a new fly-fishing magazine. Dick Stewart, the founder of American Angler, along with Bill Battles and Kevin Muse all had one thing in common—a passion for fly fishing.

Eleven years later, Fly Fish America is the highest circulation fly-fishing magazine in the world, yet we're still just as passionate as we were in the beginning. We all drive SUVs or pickups, and we don't wear suits to work. We don't even have a boardroom. And we spend more time on the water than we do behind our desks, because that's where the action is.

So what you get with Fly Fish America is the real deal—real fly fishermen reporting on all the new gear and the coolest places that fish swim.
